Please Say Yes.
.After writing about missing beloved pets and employees dealing with the loss of a man they loved and respected, my boss said it might be time to mention that sometimes our personalized globes are actually created for happier occasions.
The snow globe has a photo inside, or two different photos back to back, but that isn’t the only part of the snow globe that is customized
. There is also an engraved plate on the base of the globe. Now, I’m not a genius, but you can usually figure out just what is going on by reading the plate and looking at the photo.
. There is also an engraved plate on the base of the globe. Now, I’m not a genius, but you can usually figure out just what is going on by reading the plate and looking at the photo. For example, in comes a digital photo of a beautiful young couple, their faces lean toward each other, cheeks touching, and there is a sparkling brightness in their eyes that implies they enjoy being together. And engraving for the silver plate says, “will you marry me?”
How sweet is that?
We could make those wedding globes all day long and never get tired of it. Variations of this personalized snow globe have been a couple kissing on a ski lift, dressed as Sonny and Cher on Halloween, holding hands at a family potluck (with red check tablecloths on the picnic table, mustard and ketchup bottles, plates of burgers and pots of baked beans, children running in the background with balloons and yet all you see is the way this couple is gazing at each other), and dressed for prom.
While “will you marry me?” is a common variation on the theme, we liked the plate that one guy ordered recently. It was a photo of him, reaching his arms out as though to hug the person he was facing. And the plate said simply, “Please say yes.”
Then we get the request from that couple that have gone through all that and are wondering where all the time has gone on this interesting and ever changing path in life. What did they want, was a custom made snow globe.
