Music Snow Globe
Music snow globes that have the wind up music box in the bottom of the snow globe have been around for a very long time.
The component that makes the music is typically a 18 note harp that is activated by winding it up. The music will play until the spring has to be wound up again. The music that is available is very limited in these wind up components and the availability is very undependable.
A frequently asked question we get is if we have music snow globes with a specific song in them or could we put a special song in the snow globe to make it a special musical snow globe. I have to say we can not do the music in the snow globe being it custom or some standard musical harp from some snow globe kit or broken snow globe. There is a couple of issues with copyright laws, snow globe construction or the difficulty of having a custom harp made for a requested song, sorry.
I have heard that the development team is working on a recordable device that will be in the base of the custom snow globe so that individuals can create their own music snow globe or create a personalized snow globe with a special message recorded.
